Study Route: your course builds itself and moves with you

Tell Lunar what you want to master and it creates a visible topic plan you walk through together, advancing only when you truly understand.

Study Route: your course builds itself and moves with you

A loose chat answers questions. The Study Route turns that conversation into a course: a visible plan of topics that Lunar creates, walks through with you in order, and marks complete only when there's real evidence you understood.

How it starts

Turn on Study Route from the + menu in the input (the nodes icon). The session enters route mode: everything you discuss revolves around your plan.

Then say what you want to master. Lunar asks the minimum — your level and whether there are must-cover topics — and with that it builds the route in front of you: you watch topics appear one by one with their animation, and when it finishes the panel opens on its own and proposes starting.

How it looks

The route lives in a panel to the right of the chat (choose in Settings between a side column or a floating card). Each topic shows its state at a glance:

  • Now — the topic in progress, highlighted and alive.
  • Completed — with evidence of what you demonstrated to close it.
  • Pending — what's next, with its subtopics.

Each topic expands to show the subtopics that compose it. Topics carry their weight: critical (testable or a prerequisite), or optional (accessory, kept light).

How it advances: by understanding, not by time

Lunar doesn't advance because X minutes passed or you sent X messages. At the end of each topic it checks that you understood — and only with that evidence does it close the topic: the check animates, the topic moves to completed, and the next one kicks off without you having to say "continue".

Didn't quite get it? Say "go over it again" and the topic reopens: Lunar explains it from another angle.

How you edit it: always with Lunar, never by hand

No dragging or writing over the plan. Two paths, the same AI:

  • The pencil next to each topic (or the whole plan): write what you want changed and Lunar applies it.
  • The normal chat: "I already know this, skip it" or "add a topic on X" and the route updates right there.

Every change announces itself with its own card in the conversation: created, edited, closed a topic — nothing happens silently.

Prioritization intelligence

If you hand it your university syllabus (or any long material), Lunar doesn't turn it into an endless list of equal topics: it performs a triage. It groups accessories, prioritizes what's testable and what's a prerequisite for the rest, marks the optional, and compacts what you already master according to your learning memory. The route ends up with what truly matters — not the full syllabus recited.

Pace and completion

Tell it when your exam is and Lunar keeps it in mind: it tells you how many topics are left and how many days, and adjusts the pace to your understanding — not to a fixed volume. If the pace doesn't work, it says so and proposes prioritizing what's critical.

Each topic declares which topics it depends on, so you see the chain: it isn't a loose list.

When you finish every topic, Lunar hands you a summary: what you demonstrated mastering (with the evidence from each closure), which optional topic stayed uncovered, and what's worth reviewing later.

With what you already have

The route doesn't live alone: it feeds the study map, pushes anchors of mastery when topics close, and what you learn reaches the space's memory so your other chats know. Citations and MicroChats keep working the same inside route mode.
